How to install polyurethane exterior wall panel?

The installation of polyurethane exterior wall panels requires certain steps and precautions. The following is a detailed installation guide:

1. Base wall treatment

The wall surface should be cleaned, and oil stains and floating dust should be washed off to ensure that the wall surface is dry, without hollows and cracks.

The flatness of the wall surface should be controlled within a certain range. If it exceeds the range, mortar should be used for leveling.

Remove defects such as exterior wall attachments, oil stains, and concrete beam expansion. The height of the protrusions must meet the regulations.

2. Measurement and positioning

Use measuring tools such as levels and theodolites to determine the horizontal and vertical points of the exterior wall insulation layer according to the positioning line of the engineering structure.

Pop up the reference line on the exterior wall of the structure as the basis for controlling the verticality of the upper and lower corners, and pop up the +50cm line of ±0.000 as the basis for controlling the straightness of the pasted composite board and the squareness of the doors and windows.

3. Preparation and application of adhesive

According to the instructions for use of the adhesive, mix an appropriate amount of adhesive with water and stir until the consistency is moderate.

Use a trowel to apply adhesive about 5cm wide and 1cm thick around the adhesive surface of each polyurethane exterior wall panel, and evenly scrape several adhesive points on the board surface to ensure that the adhesive points are evenly distributed and the adhesive area meets the requirements.

4. Pasting of polyurethane exterior wall panels

The polyurethane exterior wall panel coated with adhesive are tightly pasted on the wall surface, and tools are used to gently knead and evenly squeeze to make the board surface and the wall surface in close contact.

During the pasting process, pay attention to the flatness, verticality and height difference between adjacent boards to ensure that the board surface is flat and without misalignment.

When pasting, start from the corner, and then paste the next wall panel in sequence along the direction of the corner. When pasting the four corners of the window opening, the whole board should be cut to avoid the formation of through seams between the four sides of the window opening and the composite board joints.

5. Installation of anchors

The anchors can be installed 24 hours after the insulation board is pasted.

Use an electric hammer to punch holes in the seams around each insulation board and in the middle of the board, insert the anchors into the holes and tighten them.

The number, position and depth of anchors must meet the design requirements to ensure that the anchoring is firm.

6. Board seam treatment

After the polyurethane exterior wall panel is pasted for 24 hours, remove the “T” and “X” blocks between the board seams, and remove dust and other debris in the board seams.

Use caulking materials to fill the board seams to ensure that the caulking materials are filled densely and without gaps.

Paste masking tape on both sides of the board seams, then use a silicone gun to inject silicone into the board seams, and use a scraper to scrape off the excess silicone to make it smooth.

7. Precautions

During the installation process, pay attention to protecting the polyurethane exterior wall panels from damage and avoid impact and scratches.

The use of adhesives must comply with safety regulations to avoid harm to the human body and the environment.

The selection and installation of anchors must meet the design requirements to ensure the stability and safety of the insulation system.

After the construction is completed, the insulation system should be fully inspected to ensure that there are no omissions and defects.

Following the above steps and precautions can ensure the correct installation of polyurethane exterior wall panel and the stability and safety of the insulation system.
