Steel structure roof installation for Tanzania warehouse project
The large-scale warehouse project for a client in Tanzania, undertaken by Yirong Steel Structure, has entered a critical construction phase. This project innovatively utilizes a hybrid structural system combining steel and concrete brick walls, seamlessly integrating the key advantages of both materials to create a modern warehouse space that is durable, cost-effective, and adaptable to the local environment.
Currently, the project’s concrete brick walls have been fully constructed with high quality. These thick walls not only define the warehouse’s majestic silhouette but also serve as the building envelope and partial structural support. Their exceptional stability, impact resistance, and thermal inertia effectively adapt to Tanzania’s climate, providing excellent insulation and protection for the interior space.
At the construction site, the current core task is the installation of the roof steel structure system. Workers are precisely hoisting and securing high-strength H-shaped steel roof support beams, designed and manufactured by Yirong Steel Structure, to the top of the completed walls. The H-shaped steel, with its unique cross-sectional shape, achieves excellent load-bearing properties, ensuring load-bearing strength while maintaining lightweight material, providing a solid and reliable “framework” for the entire roof system. Our dual-slope roof design not only offers a classic aesthetic but also effectively accelerates rainwater drainage, significantly reducing the risk of water accumulation and leakage during the tropical rainy season.
The EPS sandwich roof panels we specifically supplied for this project are ready and will be installed after the main steel structure is installed. This type of roof panel is renowned for its lightweight, high strength, and excellent thermal insulation. The polystyrene foam core effectively blocks the intense tropical sunlight, helping to maintain a relatively stable temperature within the warehouse, creating optimal environmental conditions for future storage and saving energy in potential workspaces.
Project Status Summary: Wall construction has been successfully completed, and roof steel structure installation is progressing smoothly. This entire project demonstrates Yirong Steel Structure’s precise control of material science, structural design, and construction schedules in its overseas projects.
