It’s 2024 and you still don’t know how to install sandwich panels?
1. Material preparation:
According to the design requirements, prepare sandwich panels, connectors (such as self tapping screws, connectors, etc.), sealing materials (such as weather proofing glue, foam filler, etc.) of corresponding specifications and quantities.
Ensure that all materials comply with relevant standards and requirements, without damage, deformation, or quality issues.
2. Tool preparation:
Prepare necessary construction tools, such as drills, screwdrivers, wrenches, cutting machines, level rulers, vertical rulers, etc.
3. Construction condition inspection:
Check whether the environmental conditions at the construction site, such as temperature, humidity, wind speed, etc., meet the construction requirements.
Clean up the construction site to ensure that the construction area is clean and free of debris.
4. Grassroots cleaning:
Clean the surface of the base layer to ensure that there are no impurities such as dust, oil stains, loose materials, etc.
Repair uneven areas to ensure a smooth base surface.
5. Leveling treatment:
If necessary, perform leveling treatment on the surface of the base layer, such as applying interface mortar or laying a leveling layer.
6. Measurement dimensions:
According to the design requirements, measure and determine the installation position and dimensions of the sandwich panel.
7. Cable laying and positioning:
Set out installation control lines for sandwich panels on the base, including horizontal and vertical lines.
8. Installing sandwich panels:
Install the sandwich panels in the order of laying out and positioning.
Use self tapping screws or other connectors to secure the sandwich panel to the substrate. When fixing, attention should be paid to maintaining the flatness and perpendicularity between the boards.
If necessary, sealing materials can be filled between the boards to improve waterproofing and sealing performance.
9. Special part treatment:
For special parts such as corners, door and window openings, special treatment should be carried out according to design requirements, such as cutting, splicing, reinforcement, etc.
10. Edge processing:
Use edge strips or edge plates to edge the sandwich panel, in order to improve its aesthetic appeal and waterproof performance.
11. Sealing treatment:
Seal the joints between sandwich panels with weather resistant adhesive or other sealing materials to ensure no leakage at the joints.
