How to build a two-story industrial warehouse in North America?

Recently, the large-scale North American warehouse project, for which Yirong Group provided a one-stop solution, successfully completed material delivery and structural assembly. With its unique double-height design and top-notch fireproofing and insulation performance, this project has become another benchmark project for Yirong in the North American market.

1. Project Overview

This project was customized to meet the client’s dual needs for storage capacity and office space:

Building Dimensions: Length 28 meters, Width 20 meters.

Double-Story Structure: Total building height reaches 17 meters. This towering two-story design greatly improves land utilization. The ground floor can be used for heavy machinery storage or logistics turnover, while the second floor can be planned as a precision warehouse or administrative office area.

Complete System Supply: Yirong Group provided a complete system of components, from the main frame to steel structure stairs, doors and windows, and drainage pipes.

2. Core Materials

To meet North America’s stringent building standards and variable climate, the project meticulously selected materials:

Main Structure: Beams and columns are uniformly constructed using Q355B high-strength H-beams. As the core of the structural support, Q355B steel ensures the building’s vertical stability and wind resistance at a height of 17 meters.

Secondary Structure: Purlins are made of hot-dip galvanized C-beams, possessing excellent corrosion resistance and extending the overall lifespan of the building.

3. Enclosure System

Considering the North American client’s high focus on insurance compliance and operating costs, the enclosure system employs industry-leading technology:

Polyurethane-sealed rock wool panels (50mm): This is one of the project’s highlights.

Fire Resistance: The core rock wool achieves a Class A non-combustible rating, providing ultimate safety protection for high-value goods.

Sealing Technology: The sides are sealed with polyurethane (PU), effectively solving the problems of traditional rock wool boards such as easy water absorption and poor airtightness, ensuring a constant temperature inside the warehouse and significantly reducing HVAC energy consumption.

4. Yirong Group’s One-Stop Delivery Experience

From initial solution communication and 3D modeling design to high-precision processing in the factory and transatlantic booking and transportation, Yirong Group demonstrated mature multinational project management capabilities:

  • Precise Design: Digital pre-assembly ensures zero-error installation after ocean shipping.
  • Worry-Free Logistics: Professional customs clearance cooperation and reinforced packaging ensure that all materials arrive at the North American construction site intact.
